Nursery celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4/9/19 by paying a tribute to their first teacher their mother. The mothers were invited to spend time and enjoy some fun filled activities with their wards. The feedback was positive and encouraging.
Camlin also conducted a Drawing Competition for the students from Nursery –Class VI on 12/9/19 Children were divided into three groups and topics were given to them. The winners were given a certificate and a gift.
On 27th September the students of KG C & D had put up a skit on Durga Puja and Diwali highlighting the victory of Good over Evil.
SPELLYMPIC 2019, is the maiden Inter-school event hosted by Birla High School-Mukundapur on 6th December 2019. It is a spelling and word building contest. 19 eminent schools from the city participated in this event. A written preliminary round was conducted by the moderator, Mr. Raju Raman, an eminent debater and quiz master. 10 schools were shortlisted in the final on stage round. There were 5 rounds of oral spellings, unscramble, synonyms, antonym, homophones, matching the images to form correct proverbs and the last was an online round of scrabble.
The students of Nursery, KG and Class I had their share of class picnic in the campus itself on 13th December . The students enjoyed the fun-filled games and the mouth watering food. They went home very happy.
Classes II to VI were taken to the Garden Glow at Jainpur for class excursion on 13th December 2019.
Students of Classes IV and V were taken to Kidderpore dockyard to see the warship INS Kirpan anchored there. Students were given an entire tour of the arms and ammunitions installed in the warship which enthralled the students. They were overjoyed to see the warship.
Students and teachers of Birla High School Mukundapur were on an excursion to Shantiniketan from January 2nd to 4th 2020. 11 teachers and 33 students visited the Visva Bharati Complex, and the Uttarayan Complex. They also went to see the Massanjore Dam. Their itinerary included a visit to a primary school for tribal children, Sabuj Path Mukto Vidyalaya at Ramnagar near Shantinikaten. The school has 45 students and is run by Mr. Subroto Sarkar . The students of both the schools interacted and sang songs such as ‘ Aguner porosh moni...’ , ‘Bishyo pita tumi he probhu...’ together.
To discuss and apprise the parents about their wards' progress, a Parent –Teacher Meeting was organised on Saturday, 18th January 2020.
